This is the second time in my life I've retired from nursing.
I think this will be the last, but I suppose you can never say never about these things:).
So this will be a very long post with lots of pics
of all the lovely nurses who came to tea.
Geri played "mother" with the tea pots.
They had to have two.
I don't think there was that much tea required,
I think they just loved the tea pots!
Oh Jacqui what delicious looking cakes! I would love to be able to decorate cakes like that but they are never around long enough...males of the house find toppings unnecassary! Your pics are great and looks like your tea party went with a swing. Enjoy your retirement dear x
ReplyDeleteWhat a stunning spread of deliciousness! WHy wasn't I invirted, boo hoo... Probably because I am not a nurse, live in England , etc etc! Ha ha! Those cakes.. It must be a shame to eat them or cut into them , they are soooo gorgeous. I love the kitchen too! Is that a patchwork curtain or something I could spy, looked very nice! Have a happy weekend ! Hi Jacqui! I came over to meet you. I was just over at the Happy Loves Rosie blog and wanted to say hi. Your tea was so lovely! I admire the slipcover you created for that sweet wing chair. I am about to attempt covering my own wing chairs, and you have inspired me! I'm your newest follower and I hope that you will stop by and visit me one day soon.

What a wonderful blog. Thanks for sharing your tea party. I think I need to move to New Zealand where women know how to "tea" party!
ReplyDeleteHello!
ReplyDeleteI have just stumbled upon your beautiful blog and I am glad I did.
Your Tea party looks fabulous, the cakes are beautiful, a work of art. I am hosting a vintage tea party for my birthday in summer so your pictures are an inspiration.

Hi Jacqui,
ReplyDeleteI think you might be teaching Jo Seager how to do a tea party in style. What an amazing array of goodies. Your blog is amazing and to hear music playing as I was reading put'the icing on the cake!'
