It's much more fun to crochet Granny squares in bed on a cold autumn morning than it is to get up (except to make toast and marmalade). No good reading the paper either, because it'll just tell me how cold it's going to be outside. I'd rather make Granny squares.
I'm not very good at understanding all the instructions yet, so had to get my Mum to make these beautiful little flowers for me. She is extremely proficient at crochet!! Probably, she should really get a gong for services to very complicated crochet!!! I shall nominate her. I think you just email the Governor General. And seeing as he's not going to Poland now because of the Icelandic volcano, I'm sure he'll have time to think about my request.
Sounds like a top idea to me. I'll try it next time its cool here...like in the summer. Mums flowers are great are you going to use them with your squares. Let us see the finished result!
ReplyDeleteCertainly will. I'm not sure what I'll use the flowers for yet, proabably to embellish little girls dresses.

Thought it was about time I posted a comment....
ReplyDeleteWell I have to admit to not being entirely convinced of this blog 'thing' - to be honest it was just another thing I didn't have time for. However, on one rare occasion when I found a spare moment and just felt like zoning out from the hustle and bustle of life I visited your "blog" page (at least thats what I think its called). Surprisingly I found myself looking and looking - opening up every little link to see what might be there. Today is the first time in a while I have had a chance to revisit, and once again I am sifting through the new 'stuff'. Having been caught up in the fast pace of life I had forgotten about all those creative projects and treasures which we both enjoy - and I have to say it is rather refreshing.... Well done!

Thank you Magpie Chic's sister. I have to say I agree with you. Actually, it's changed my life and helped me make life changing decisions too.
