Blossums from my knitted garden.

I discovered the most wonderful book at Poppies the other day. It is completely dedicated to knitted and crocheted flowers. There are photos and instructions for over 100 flowers. My favourites are these bluebells...

campanulas...

And these tiny little violas, which will be the first ones I make from the book.

Providing I can follow the crochet instructions that is! They are so delicate and lovely, and I intend to use them to embellish some knitted socks I am making at the moment.

And they contribute towards my creative fix

for the colour purple!

  1. Isn't that front cover just heavenly?! I love all those pretty flowers and think they would all look very lovely on something. I wonder what you will do with them?

  2. I do so love this book! I just wish there was a little more time to actually get around to making some of these things. The wee pansy's are a good idea 1) because they are adorable & 2) because I might even get them done. Like them for on socks : ) Much love Catherine x
