A Special Goodbye Tea Party.

This is the second time in my life I've retired from nursing.
I think this will be the last, but I suppose you can never say never about these things:).

So this will be a very long post with lots of pics
of all the lovely nurses who came to tea.

Geri played "mother" with the tea pots.
They had to have two.
I don't think there was that much tea required,
I think they just loved the tea pots!

Jane brought her daughter and two gorgeous grand daughters along.

Isn't she just gorgeous!!

Her baby was lovingly wrapped in the finest of linen and lace napkins.

They even did the dishes!

I parcelled up some leftovers to take to the girls on the afternoon shift.

Who are going to look for the photos here at magpiechic.

The remnants of lavender cupcakes.

And batman left cosily wrapped in his napkin!
One of the loveliest tea parties I've ever had.
Thank you everyone.
I'll miss you all very much.
Do call in for tea any time you're passing!

  6. Hi Jacqui! I came over to meet you. I was just over at the Happy Loves Rosie blog and wanted to say hi. Your tea was so lovely! I admire the slipcover you created for that sweet wing chair. I am about to attempt covering my own wing chairs, and you have inspired me! I'm your newest follower and I hope that you will stop by and visit me one day soon.

Your Tea party looks fabulous, the cakes are beautiful, a work of art. I am hosting a vintage tea party for my birthday in summer so your pictures are an inspiration.

  9. Hi Jacqui,
I think you might be teaching Jo Seager how to do a tea party in style. What an amazing array of goodies. Your blog is amazing and to hear music playing as I was reading put'the icing on the cake!'
